There is a huge storage basket under the seat, it is easy to open and easy to get in the car.

The seats can face each other and they both recline. It is narrow for shopping. It's design is high quality with lots of leg room and a five-point harness. There is a roomy seat area.

The complaints about the Per Prego Duette MT are that it is large and heavy. It is expensive. it is hard to fold. It takes up a lot of room. There is no storage basket and this stroller does not collapse all the way.

The Evenflo Cititour Silver Star Twin Seat Standard Stroller has a comfortable rear seat. This stroller can handle up to forty pounds in each seat. It has soft and padded material. There is a toddler drink and snack tray. This stroller steers rather easily and there is easy access to the basket.

Complaints about this stroller include the fact that the parent tray falls down. The front wheels squeak and wobble after about two weeks of usage The front canopy is too small for a toddler. It is difficult to open and close. The fabric has a tendency to catch in the joints of the frame.

The only positive statement about the Combi Tetra TS Crimson Standard Stroller is that it has cool colors. The wheels don't turn properly and the basket is inaccessible when the seat is recline. There are three reclining positions only two of which work. It unfolds but doesn't lock which poses a serious risk to you and your baby and the frame is made of cheap plastic.

Maclaren Quest Sport (MSRP 5.99) While very costly, this is the dream umbrella stroller! It weights only 11lbs but can hold a kid up to 55lbs. Loaded with great features and convenient options if you have the money it's a must have.

None of these umbrella strollers can't carry an infant car seat and should not be used with babies under six months unless they have a reclining seat. They are primary designed for toddlers and due to their size will not offer the same features and accessories as standard strollers

A good light weight stroller is not necessarily the most expensive. That doesn't mean you should cheap out and not spend some cash,though. I can't keep track of all of the stories I've heard about moms and dads who buy inexpensive umbrella strollers - only to 'have to' buy a new stroller weeks later. I personally fall into this group... My umbrella stroller from Jeep fell apart - the footrest snapped and one wheel broke off - leaving me and my daughter high and dry.

I replaced my broken umbrella stroller with a Maclaren stroller that, unlike my previous stroller, was built to last. Maclaren is a stroller manufacturer from England who is known for their high quality products.

Maclaren Triumph

The Maclaren Triumph, made with strong lightweight aluminum, is a bare-bones umbrella stroller that has a reclining seat. The key benefit that Maclaren offers with all of their strollers is the quality and durability of the materials they use. I have owned a Maclaren Volo stroller for four years and it looks and functions as if it was brand new.

The handles on the Triumph are not typical for an umbrella stroller, they are ergonomically designed to accommodate parents of various heights. They also have foam padding that makes it comfortable for parents to stroll.

The wheels on the Triumph are small and plastic, there's really no shock absorption with this stroller - so you'll find yourself gravitating to even surfaces. The wheels do swivel so your turning radius is pretty amazing. My daughter loves to be spun around and around in her stroller. The swivel wheels lock if you want a bit more control - but this is a feature that I never use.

The seat on the Triumph is removable - it can be removed and thrown into the laundry to be cleaned. The seat reclines using a nifty draw-string-like device - so you can customize your ideal angle of recline. Some parents reported that the seat doesn't recline 100% flat nor does it sit up straight. But most moms and dads, in general, loved this feature.

The canopy, or hood, on the Triumph stroller is made out of high quality water resistant material. The coverage that it offers is at par with other umbrella strollers... which is pretty minimal. Thank goodness that a rain cover, with substantial coverage, comes standard with the Triumph.

Triumph strollers fold and unfold like a dream. Maclaren calls it a five second fold... I'd call it a two second fold. Pull up on one latch, step on another and drop the stroller - that's it! The stroller automatically locks in its folded position. And with its carry strap you can whip this bad boy over your shoulder and off you go.

Who's using this?
Mom's and dads who want more out of their lightweight umbrella stroller: durability, high quality and a reclining seat.

What's working well?
Being lightweight and having great maneuverability makes this stroller a favorite for both traveling and for day to day use. This stroller packs up and stores so easily - you might not use your standard-sized stroller again.

What's not working well?
When the seat is fully reclined it's really difficult to get into the storage basket. Several reviewers complained about the reclining seat... They reported that the stroller doesn't recline completely flat nor does it adjust to a completely upright position.

Why would you want to buy the Triumph?
Because you are tired of buying multiple bargain umbrella strollers that leave you stranded when they fall apart. Because you are looking for a lightweight stroller, that's super easy to open and close, and carry. Because you are looking for a stroller that will look and perform as if it was brand new - for years.

Why would you 'not' want to buy this stroller?
Because you'd like easier access to the storage basket Because you'd like a seat that has superior reclining capabilities Because you'd like a stroller that offers cup holders and storage trays/pockets as standard features. Maclaren Volo - if you want to save about ... The Volo is a well-built umbrella stroller, just like the Triumph, but it does not have a reclining seat.

Maclaren Techno XT - if you are looking for a full-featured lightweight stroller that's built to last.

Maclaren Techno XLR - if you are looking for a full-featured lightweight stroller that is compatible with a wide variety of infant car seats.

Recommendation

If you're tired of burning through cheap umbrella strollers, if you looking for a stroller that won't cost you an arm and a leg, and if you are looking forward to buying your last stroller that will most likely replace your standard-sized stroller.... Then the Maclaren Triumph has your name on it.

Maclaren Twin Triumph Stroller - A Side by Side Experience

I've looked at a lot of double strollers and to be honest with you I've never really considered getting a side by side stroller. I have to admit it, I'm a typical 'guy'. When I look at side-by-side twin / double strollers I think 'it can't be stable, I bet that it'll tip over if I sneeze'. I am also thinking 'why would anyone want to buy a side by side stroller instead of a tandem stroller? That's right, this typical guy is thinking, 'what about the center of gravity? What about the turning radius? What about the weight distribution and the wheel base?'

Okay, okay, a couple of mom's 'enlightened' me and set my thinking straight. I learned that my side-by-side twin stroller assumptions were invalid. The mom's rightfully pointed out... "What about the children? Are they getting the best ride possible?" and "What about the parents? Are they getting the most out of their baby products?"

One of the moms that I spoke with had a stroller from Maclaren. I'm quite familiar with Maclaren... they are lightweight and super compact, they have innovative designs and they are built really, really well. But this day I was being educated, to put it mildly, about the benefits of the Twin Triumph.

As it turns out, there are some definite advantages to owning a side-by-side twin stroller. The Triumph delivers the following benefits: Side-by-side strollers end the 'tandem' argument regarding the front seat that has the exclusive view. With the Twin Triumph, both children get a view. The Twin Triumph offers both children seats that recline independently. One child can sit up while the other child is napping. And since the children are side-by-side, they are within their mom's or dad's arm's reach - when timely TLC is required. With the Triumph, the simple task of opening a door when the stroller is between you and the door is, well, simple. "Try doing that with a tandem stroller" the mother added. Your children can keep each other company when strolling The two under-seat storage baskets are definitely better than one storage basket.

What's working well?

These handles make strolling comfortable for parents regardless of their height. Most umbrella strollers, single or double can't recline... this is where the Twin Triumph distinguishes itself from the other strollers. Twin Triumph's seats independently recline from fully reclined to fully upright. This umbrella stroller has multiple reclining positions. You can easily fold your Twin Triumph into a compact form factor for transport or for storage.

What's not working well?
The canopies can be larger Parents and children really need their cup holders, trays and / or storage pouches. The Twin Triumph is lacking in these departments.

We were scheduled to hop on a flight in London the next day - we were ready to head back home to the US when my daughter's stroller falls apart. The footrest, a wheel and a handle on our umbrella stroller all went south. It was as if it knew that the warranty had expired. Our journey home included three different airports, so it was a prudent decision to get a new stroller for my three year old daughter. No big deal, a quick trip downtown and we bought ourselves a new lightweight stroller. Being in England, I wasn't surprised that we found an English stroller - a Maclaren Volo. What did surprise me, however, was the quality of the stroller - it was built really, really well. That's the day I became a Maclaren stroller fan.

Four years later I find myself reviewing a new stroller from Maclaren - The Techno XT. Oh my goodness what a great stroller! It has the same quality, craftsmanship and materials that I found in my Volo but the Techno's feature list keeps going and going.

Features

This stroller is a lightweight but it has all of the features of full-sized stroller. And at 14.5 lbs it folds up and is carried quite easily.

As with all Maclaren strollers, the Techno XT comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns. And with a removable & washable fully reclining seat, your little one can nap in style.

In addition to reclining flat, the seat can be moved into three additional seating positions. The ride on this stroller is very smooth - it has a padded seat and all-wheel suspension.

I'm 10" taller than my wife so I gravitate to strollers that have height adjustable handles. The Techno's height adjustable handles do the trick... both of us can stroll comfortably with this stroller.

This Maclaren stroller comes with a water resistant canopy that features a sun visor, air vents, a large viewing window and an attachable rain cover.

What work's well?

You won't find a padded 5-point safety harness on other lightweight strollers. Your little ones will like this feature.

The easy fold feature is a dream... Flip a couple of switches and the stroller quickly folds up - making it easy to transport and store.

What doesn't work well?

The canopy and the storage basket could be bigger.

Why to buy this stroller...

If you are going to be traveling or you need a day to day stroller that is transported quite easily, and if you need a stroller that you can count on... This stroller won't fall apart when you need it the most.

If you're looking for a larger stroller or you're looking to save a bit of money.

The Quattro Tour stroller from Graco is a full-sized stroller that is compatible with infant car seats - it's a full sized, full feature, stroller yet it is easy to maneuver and is not too bad in the transportability department.

The Ipo stroller from Graco has a lot of great features and it costs less than the Techno XT stroller - it's a great value.

Recommendation

At 5, you might find the Techno XT to be too expensive. In defense of the price... this will indeed be the last stroller you buy - it's not going to leave you stranded at an airport - believe me. I highly recommend the Maclaren XT stroller. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

What is So Special About the Maclaren Car Seat Strollers?

Maclaren is a UK based company known for its baby travel products-one of which is the Maclaren car seat stroller. But what's so special about this stroller? It doesn't look like much, but maybe it's worth more than it seems?

The Maclaren car seat stroller really doesn't look like much. It's black with eight wheels (four pairs side-by-side), and it doesn't have a seat of its own. It has an extremely roomy basket made with a light, translucent fabric in which to store all of your little one's things. However, because it is this type of stroller, it has two parallel bars for your baby's car seat to go on top of the basket.

It does save quite a bit of space, since all it's just a frame with a basket without the baby seat attached. It might be a bit of a pain getting the car seat in and out of the car every time you need to take baby out. It can't be said it's exactly a time-saver or anything. Pretty much, instead of unbuckling the baby and placing him or her in the stroller, you just unbuckle the whole car seat instead. On the flip side, it isn't wasting any time either. It also helps when your baby is sleeping, rather than remove him from his seat which will cause him to wake up, you can simply take the whole seat out of the car.

According to reviews, the main complaint about the Maclaren stroller is that there isn't a cup holder. It has also been said that the handles might be a bit tall for smaller parents, and they are regrettably not adjustable. Other complaints had to do with the baby being lower to the ground than a parent might like, the basket isn't accessible from the back of the stroller, and the basket, albeit being a good size, does fill up fast.

On the other hand, it has also been said that the basket is a good size (It depends on the parent. If you have more than one child, it may fill up faster.), it's extremely easy to steer, and is compatible with many car seats (even a few not on the list). The Maclaren is also extremely compact when folded up, saving more space than your everyday stroller.
